Symons & Son is a professional family run firm with over 15 years experience in removals and storage and 18 months in self storage and storage to your door.

Recommendations by our customers caused our Company to grow and the business to expand.

Having been in the removals and storage business for a period of time we realised there was a market for self storage and storage to your door in the Bideford area.

Symons & Son use the wooden professional removal containers for removals and storage so we then thought there must be other ways to utilise these containers.

Our first idea was for self storage where we place the containers in front of the customer to load in our storage depot saving the customer walking up and down corridors hence saving the customer time and money.

Symons & Son have carried out removals for our customers where the customer required their possessions picked up from a self storage unit. After arriving at the self storage unit Symons & Son needed to pick up trolleys to collect customer goods, take the trolleys to a lift to go to upper floors, locate the storage container in corridors, load the trolleys and then take the trolleys back to the Symons & Son lorry to load. Having done this on numerous occasions Symons & Son thought surely there is an easier way of carrying out this work.

This is where Symons & Son arrived at the second idea that created self storage to your door.

This is when Symons & Son came up with the second idea of storage to your door.

1. Symons & Son Deliver containers to your front door in an enclosed trailer.
2. You load at your convenience.
3. Symons & Son collect and store in our storage depot.
